5 - Day Itinerary

Start: Fes | End: Ouarzazate, Marrakech, Essaouira, Tangier or Rabat

Day 1

Begin your cultural journey with a warm welcome in Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and culinary capital. After check-in at your traditional riad, take a guided walk through the medina’s food markets, spice corners, and bread ovens. End with a relaxed tasting dinner of seasonal dishes in a family-owned restaurant.

Day 2

Spend the morning exploring the medina’s artisan quarters: pottery, leatherwork, brass hammering, and embroidery. After a light lunch, join a hands-on Moroccan cooking class — from buying ingredients in the souk to preparing your own tagine or couscous with preserved lemon and olives.

Day 3

Travel west to Volubilis, Morocco’s best-preserved Roman ruins. Enjoy a short guided tour, then continue to Meknes, stopping at a local olive oil press or vineyard for tasting. In Meknes, stroll past Bab Mansour, visit a traditional food market, and try slow-cooked beef or kefta tajine at a hidden local spot.

Day 4

Head south into the Middle Atlas. Stop at a weekly Berber market in a small town, then enjoy tea and bread-making with a local family. Visit a small cooperative that makes herbal oils or dried fruit preserves (seasonal). End the day in a countryside guesthouse near Azrou or Ifrane.
