Next, we’ll visit the Cedar Forest, home to the friendly Barbary monkeys. As we travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains and the Ziz Valley, you’ll marvel at the scenic palm groves and gorges. By afternoon, we’ll arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Here, an unforgettable camel ride will take you across the golden dunes. Watch a magical sunset before settling into a luxurious desert camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner and traditional music under a starry sky.

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the breathtaking Erg Chebbi dunes—a highlight of any desert tour from Fes. After breakfast, we’ll set off to explore the Merzouga desert. Our 4×4 adventure will take us to Lake Dayet Srij, often visited by flamingos, and to a local Gnawa family who will share their unique music and culture. We’ll also meet semi-nomadic families who live in the vast Merzouga desert, offering a glimpse into their traditional way of life. By evening, we’ll return to the hotel for a relaxing night’s stay.

After breakfast, we’ll start our return journey from the Merzouga desert to Fes. Our first stop is Rissani, a historic town that was once a vital trade hub. From there, we’ll travel through the scenic Ziz Valley, filled with lush palm groves and dramatic landscapes. Along the way, we’ll stop in Azrou to visit the famous Cedar Forest, home to playful monkeys, before passing through Ifrane. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive back in Fes where you can relax and reflect on the incredible Fes to desert adventure you’ve just experienced.
